غول g̠ẖūl A (vulg. g̠ẖol) s. m. 1. An imaginary sylvan demon of different shapes and colours, supposed to devour men and animals. (From this our European loup-garou, or man-wolf, seems to be borrowed). 2. (in Hindī) A corps, division, or main body of an army, a squadron, a crowd, gang. غول بياباني g̠ẖūl-i-bayābān-ī, A demon (inhabitant of the woods). غول کا غول g̠ẖol kā g̠ẖol, Crowd upon crowd.
