نقل naḳl A s. f. 1. A history, narrative, tale, story, anecdote, fable. 2. Copying, mimicking, acting. 3. Transcribing. 4. Imitation of a copy, transcript, copy, counterpart. 5. Transporting from one place to another, removing, trans- lation. نقل کرنا naḳl karnā, To relate, narrate, to copy, to act, play, perform, or represent (a character). نقل مکان naḳl-i-makān, 1. The first stage of a journey, or halting place at a very little distance, where they remain some time to collect what may have been forgotten of the requisites for travelling. This first stage is often made, long before they really mean to set off, for the sake of seizing a lucky moment to commence a journey in. 2. Transmigration. نقل نويسي naḳl-navīs-ī, s. f. Copying. ¶ nuḳl, s. What is eaten with wine, as fruits or sweet- meats, a dessert: (dakh.) A sort of sweetmeat.
